- 5 ounces boneless pork loin shopping list
- 1 1/2 ounces fried pork skins( I use spicy thats packaged like chips.) shopping list
- 1 lean pork hock(fresh or smoked) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 can white hominy-drained shopping list
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1/2 of a small onion,diced shopping list
- 1 hot pepper, seed & diced shopping list
How to make it
- place meat in a heavy pot with enough water to cover, add salt and bring to a boil
- cook for about 1 1/2 hours
- wash hominy in clear water till the water runs clear,chop pork, return to pot
- add to meat along with rest of ingredients,(excepy pork skins) simmer for about 1/2 hour
- to serve place 1/2 pork skins in each bowl scoop soup into bowls
- serve with a slice of lime or lemon
