How to make it

  • Add bran to milk and soak 5 minutes.
  • Cream shorteing and sugar together.
  • Add egg and beat until smooth.
  • Add bran mixture, add dry ingredients.
  • Stir only enough to blend.
  • Drop from a spoon into greased muffin tins, filling each 2/3 full
  • Bake 375 degrees for 25 minutes
