Spiced Apple Tea

- 1 lemon shopping list
- 4 cups apple juice shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 4 inches cinnamon stick shopping list
- 1 Tbl chopped ginger shopping list
- 1 tea whole cloves shopping list
- 6 bleack tea bags shopping list
- 1/4 cup maple syrup shopping list
- 6 inch square 100% cotton cheesecloth shopping list
- 16 thin slices of apple (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Use a vegetable peeler to remove strips of the peel of the lemon; set aside.
- Squeeze juice from lemon.
- combine apple juice, water, and 1 tablespoon of the lemon juice in a large saucepan. (save remaining lemon juice).
- For the pice bag, place cinnamon, cloves, and lemon peel strips in the center of double thick cheese cloth.
- bring corners together and tie with clean string and add bag to apple juice mixture.
- Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add tea bags cover and stand 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and spice bag and discard.
- Stir in maple syrup.
- Serve in mus. If desired float appple slices on top of each servinng.
