This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crawford Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1982.

I love your recipe! I just found it a few weeks ago and have already made several batches for cake, frosting, ice-cream, and my daughter's daily chocolate milk fix. I accidentally boiled it at first too much, and it came out thick like the chocolate Riesen candy, it was delicious. I then got out my candy thermometer and boiled it to the hard crack stage and it was like the chocolate See's lollipops and the kids and husband loved them. But now for syrup, I know just to barely boil it! Thanks again for sharing!
