Crockpot Apple-raisin Bread Pudding

- 2 packs instant oatmeal, brown sugar flavored shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp rum extract shopping list
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 1 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 3 1/2 cups raisin bread, cubed shopping list
- 1/2 cup raisins shopping list
- 1 cup slivered almonds shopping list
- 1 cup apple pie filling (1/2 can) shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 1 pkg. whipped topping mix (dry) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp rum extract shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- Blend oatmeal to a powder in a blender.
- Beat eggs, add extract, sugar, milk, cream and salt.
- Gently add bread, raisins, almonds, pie filling and oatmeal. Mix just until bread soaks up some sauce.
- Put in fridge to set for one hour.
- Spray slow cooker, then add bread mixture.
- Set cooker to high, no longer than two hours or you'll have mush. Test it with a knife like a cake - should come out clean.
- Mix up all ingredients to make sauce. Stir until it thickens a little.
- Pour over individual servings of pudding.
