Butterscotch Nut Bread Recipe

	Crossfire / All my dishes 2 years ago this is a great easy bread. If you bake in the mini loaves - these make great gifts. I'll be adding other breads today. As a gift you could mix up applesauce bread, pumpkin, banana or poppy seed. wrap in a tea towel and give as gifts. Prep:10m Cook:45m Servings:12	Crossfire

Ingredients

2 eggs, beaten

2 cups brown sugar

3 tbsp melted shortening

4 cups flour

1 tsp soda

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

2 cups sour milk ( add 1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar to make sour)

1 cup chopped nuts

Directions

beat eggs, sugar, and shortening

mix together flour, soda, powder and salt

add to egg mixture alternately with the milk

add nuts

pour into 2 greased loaf pans

bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes
