How to make it

  • Start with fresh shelled oysters in their own liquid. Do not wash the oysters, but salt & pepper on all sides, roll in a mixture of cornmeal & flour (or use a commercial fish fry mixture) and fry to a golden brown in a good quality cooking oil.
  • Serve with fresh lemon slices, tartar sauce or the cocktail sauce of your choice.
