Ingredients
  • 5 strips bacon, cut in small pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 medium potatoes,unpeeled,scrubbed and cut in small pieces
  • water
  • 2 cans kernel corn
  • 1/2 to 1 c. milk or evaporated milk
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. cold water

Directions
  1. Fry bacon in large pot till almost crisp.
  2. Add onion and fry till cooked.
  3. Add potatoes to the pot.
  4. Add just enough water to cover the potatoes. Simmer till tender.
  5. Add the corn. Simmer a few minutes.
  6. Add 1/2 to 1c. milk (enough to make the desired ratio of corn, potatoes and liquid.
  7. Mix 1/4c. flour into 1/2c. cold water, stir till smooth. Stir into the soup and bring to boil, just until thickened.
  8. Salt and pepper to taste.
