Worlds Best Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts, if desired
Directions
- Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs and bananas. Mix well.
- Stir in flour, salt, soda and nuts until blended thoroughly.
- Bake 1 hour in 9 x 5 inch pan, greased and floured at 350 degrees.
- Cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes, then invert on wire rack to cool.
- Can also be baked in 3 mini-loaf pans for 20-25 minutes.
