Baked French Toast Recipe
This is absolutely wonderful, quick and easy to make. Mix it up the night before and have a delish breakfast ready to pop in the oven when you get up. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 3/4 cups of brown sugar mixed with
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 loaf French bread cut into 1-1/2 inch slices
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1 1/2 cups half-and-half

Directions
  1. Melt butter in 9X13 pan. Sprinkle one third of sugar mixture into the butter and gently stir.
  2. Place bread slices into the pan.
  3. Sprinkle sugar mix over bread.
  4. Beat eggs, half-and-half and orange juice, then pour over the bread.
  5. Refrigerate overnight.
  6. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 35-45 minutes.
  7. Serve warm with hot syrup.
  8. For a healthier version, substitute whole grain bread for French bread, reduce butter to ½ stick and use 1 ½ cups non fat-half and-half.

I don't think I knew there was such a thing as non-fat half and half! Learn something new everyday! This recipe looks really tasty and one day when I have company, which is usually over the holidays, I'll make this! Thanks!
