The Triple Threat Recipe
A new twist on the old grilled cheese mom made for lunch.

Ingredients
  • 4 thick slices crusty white Italian or French bread
  • butter at room temperature
  • 2 thick slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 thick slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 thick slices havarti cheese

Directions
  1. Spread 2 bread slices evenly with butter on one side.
  2. Divide cheese slices atop unbuttered side.
  3. Butter last 2 slices of bread and set onto cheese unbuttered side down.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. When hot, set in sandwiches and cook 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. You could also substitute monterey jack, extra-aged farmer gouda, and provolone in this sandwich.
