- 4 thick slices crusty white Italian or French bread shopping list
- butter at room temperature shopping list
- 2 thick slices cheddar cheese shopping list
- 2 thick slices swiss cheese shopping list
- 2 thick slices havarti cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Spread 2 bread slices evenly with butter on one side.
- Divide cheese slices atop unbuttered side.
- Butter last 2 slices of bread and set onto cheese unbuttered side down.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. When hot, set in sandwiches and cook 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- You could also substitute monterey jack, extra-aged farmer gouda, and provolone in this sandwich.
