Thanksgiving Sandwich

- 2 thick slices day old bread (or 1 loaf), such as ciabatta shopping list
- Cold gelatinous gravy shopping list
- turkey breast, sliced shopping list
- turkey stuffing shopping list
- cranberry sauce - the jellied kind out of a can works great shopping list
- kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 3 sage leaves, chopped fine shopping list
- butter, softened shopping list
How to make it
- Spread one slice of bread with a thin layer of cold gravy.
- Layer the sandwich with slices of turkey, stuffing, more gravy and cranberry dressing, to taste.
- Season with salt and pepper and top with chopped sage leaves.
- Spread a thick layer of cranberry dressing on the other slice of bread.
- Butter each side of the sandwich on the outside, then toast on a preheated sandwich grill or in a cast iron skillet, pressing firmly on each side til golden brown.

I used to make sandwiches like this from leftover Christmas turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce....loved them :)
Never thought to use the gravy too, nor try grilling the sandwich....thanks for posting this, Pepe.. :)kukla in Barrie, Ontario loved it
