Ingredients
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Very hot water

Directions
  1. Mix molasses and flour.
  2. Put soda, ginger, cinnamon, salt and butter in measuring cup and fill with very hot water.
  3. Add to flour mixture gradually.
  4. Bake very slowly at 300 in a loaf pan.
