How to make it

  • In a medium saucepan heat canola oil over medium heat.
  • Add onion and garlic and cook 2 minutes.
  • Add ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and Creole seasoning.
  • Stir will and bring to a simmer.
  • Cook for 5 minutes and allow to cool.
  • Place shrimp in a large nonreactive bowl and pour 1/2 of the cooled sauce over the shrimp.
  • Toss to coat shrimp evenly.
  • Refrigerate 2 hours.
  • Heat grill and grill shrimp until done.
  • Place on a platter and pour remaining sauce over shrimp.
  • Garnish with lemon wedges
