Fruit Salad as Sauce

- 5 large apples, diced (leave peels on if you want, I do) shopping list
- 2 large pears, diced (peels on) shopping list
- 1 navel orange, peeled and chopped shopping list
- 2 medium over-ripe bananas, peeled and chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Place all fruits and their juices into a large pot over medium-low heat. Stir to mix well.
- Cook, uncovered, about 2 hours or until fruits have gone completely mushy. Stir once about every half hour, breaking up the fruits.
- Using an immersion blender, puree mixture until smooth. Alternatively, transfer batches to a blender or food processor and liquefy until creamy.
- Store in a tight-lidded jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze up to 3 months.
