This is a very good chewy cookie

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups shortening
  • 2 cups butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 5 cups flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tsp soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  1. cream shortening and sugar
  2. blend in eggs, honey, milk, vanilla.
  3. add dry ingredients
  4. beating well. chill for one hour.
  5. form into small balls.
  6. dip one side in sugar
  7. place on greased cookie sheet, sugar side up
  8. bake 3375 for 8-10 minutes
  9. let stand briefly before removing from sheet.
