How to make it

  • cream shorteing and sugar in bowl.
  • beat in egg, molasses and vinegar.
  • mix dry ingredients together and add to molasses mixture
  • blend well...........refrigerate for 3 hours
  • roll dough out and cut into gingerbread men/women
  • bake 375 degrees for 5-6 minutes

    You can roll out as thick as you want....you just have to adjust the timing a bit. I usually roll out 1/4 to 1/2 inch. They do not spread...they puff up a bit.
