Gluten-free Vegan Baked Beans Recipe
Similar to the canned baked beans that everyone knows and loves, but gluten-free / vegetarian / casein-free / vegan / soy-free and BETTER

Ingredients
  • 1 big can of beans, drained and rinsed (I use pinto beans)
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 T prepared mustard
  • 1/2 t cayenne
  • 2 t wheat-free tamari
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a pot.
  2. Cook on the stove, covered, over low heat.
  3. As it warms up, taste it. Is it good? Add more garlic, mustard, cayenne, tamari, salt, pepper, etc, if you think you need it.
  4. Cook over low heat until onions are soft and everything is delicious, 40 minutes to an hour and a half, or however long you want to wait before eating.
