Scallop And Crab Bake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound dry sea scallops chopped
  • 1/2 pound shelled fresh crab meat
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon sliced chives
  • 1 tablespoon diced red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients together in order then shape into cake and sauté in hot canola oil until golden on both sides.
  2. Bake at 400 for 5 minutes.

Great dish but being one to always "doctor" it have a few suggestions. Use "pink" scallops as they are sweeter. Use panko for the breading. Had trouble with this sticking together but added a bit more Panko along with smigin of grated jack and sharp chedar. Add bit of chopped yellow bell pepper. Baking @ 400 was what finished it perfefctuly. This was outrageously delicious!

Alterations


Use "pink" scallops minced. Use Panko (japanese bread crumbs). Dice a bit of yellow bell pepper and 1 egg with heavy cream so it sticks together better. Baking at 400 really makes this dish!
