Alaska Salmon Chowder

- 7-1/2 ounce can salmon shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped white onions shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped celery shopping list
- 1 garlic clove minced shopping list
- 2 tablespoons margarine shopping list
- 1 cup diced potatoes shopping list
- 1 cup diced carrots shopping list
- 2 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped broccoli shopping list
- 1 can evaporated milk shopping list
- 10 ounces frozen corn kernels thawed shopping list
- Minced fresh parsley shopping list
How to make it
- Drain and flake salmon reserving liquid.
- Saute onions, celery and garlic in margarine.
- Add potatoes, carrots, reserved salmon liquid, chicken broth and seasonings.
- Simmer covered for 20 minutes.
- Add broccoli and cook 5 minutes.
- Add flaked salmon, evaporated milk and corn then heat thoroughly.
- Sprinkle with minced parsley to serve.
