How to make it

  • Melt butter in sauce pan and add garlic and red onion until translucent
  • Stir in 1 cup white wine and bring to a boil
  • Once boiling add 1/2 cup white wine
  • Boil for 10 minutes
  • Boil Mostaccioli noodles during this time in a different pot
  • Reduce heat for the sauce and when no longer boiling slowly stir in cream and simmer for 3-5 minutes add a little salt and basil if you like
  • During the last 5 minutes of the sauce and noodles cooking time start cooking Spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes with garlic and olive oil for 5 minutes in a separate pan
  • Mix the sauce and vegetables together
  • Drain noodles
  • Serve in a deep pasta bowl (if available) and put in a little bit noodles-then sauce-then cheese and do once more so that there are two layers of all three.
  • Enjoy!
