Presidential Favorite Macaroon

- 2 egg whites shopping list
- Pinch of salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 cup shredded coconut shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
How to make it
- In a large mixer bowl, beat the egg whites well
- Add salt, beat until peaks form
- Gradually add sugar, beat until glossy
- Stir coconut, vanilla and almond extracts into egg whites
- Drop by mounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto a lightly greased cookie sheet or sheets
- Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes
- Cool on cookie sheet for about 5 minutes
- Remove from cookie sheet with a metal spatula
- Place on a wire rack to cool
