Teriyaki Sauce

- 1 c soy sauce shopping list
- 1c sugar shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic (crushed almost flat) shopping list
- a few splashes of white wine vinegar and cider vinegar (I know most recipes call for mirin, do not use it here or it will be too sweet). shopping list
How to make it
- Over medium heat mix the sugar, garlic and soy sauce.
- simmer for at least 10 minutes.
- Keep watch, it can boil over very suddenly.
- Add vinegar 1/2 tsp each at a time ~ to taste.
- Be careful tasting this mix, sugar doesn't cool down quickly.
- Strain the garlic bits and store in the fridge.
- You an tell if this has gone bad if you have sugar chunks or crystals on the side ofthe storage bottle.
- Enjoy.
