Leftover veggies pesto

- pasta - 2 cups dry (leftover from experimental home pasta-making) shopping list
- Veggie sausage - 6 Morningstar Farms frozen links shopping list
- frozen green beans - 1.5 cups (was looking for frozen kale; found beans first) shopping list
- frozen artichoke hearts - 1 cup shopping list
- Pesto - 5 ice cubes worth (note: homemade pesto can be frozen in ice cube trays; 1-2 cubes = 1 serving!) shopping list
How to make it
- Start boiling water
- Look in freezer for frozen veggies/sausage
- Prepare veggie sausage according to directions (skillet)
- Put pasta in boiling water
- Steam frozen veggies
- Heat pesto in microwave on "defrost" setting (2-3 minutes, stirring once - full power will burn)
- Mix all ingredients in bowl
- Serve

I love the pesto in ice cube trays idea! I always make pesto in the summer when my basil is thriving and WISH I had some in the winter! Great idea ~ high five for that idea alone. Blessings, deb
