How to make it

  • Blend flour, salt and shortening with a pastry cutter or whisk
  • Add water and mix with a fork
  • Roll on flowered surface
  • Fold in fourths and place in pie pan
  • Flute edges' prick bottom and sides with a fork
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes

    I just wanted to say thank you for posting this great recipe for the pie crust, i have never made a pie before, but i always wanted make a apple pie and today i did, i didn't have shortening so i had to use butter and it was good thank you again. could this recipe be good for other bake goods like tarts or what ever i may need a pastry crust for recipe or what can i make with this crust recipe? Viola
