Traditional Pie Crust Recipe
This is a traditional pie crust that I suggest for ALL of my pie recipes....It was my Mother's Grandmother's recipe.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2/3 cups shortening (i.e. Crisco)

Directions
  1. Blend flour, salt and shortening with a pastry cutter or whisk
  2. Add water and mix with a fork
  3. Roll on flowered surface
  4. Fold in fourths and place in pie pan
  5. Flute edges' prick bottom and sides with a fork
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes
