Traditional Pie Crust Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups flour

1/3 cup water

1 teaspoon of salt

2/3 cups shortening (i.e. Crisco)

Directions

Blend flour, salt and shortening with a pastry cutter or whisk

Add water and mix with a fork

Roll on flowered surface

Fold in fourths and place in pie pan

Flute edges' prick bottom and sides with a fork

Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes

I just wanted to say thank you for posting this great recipe for the pie crust, i have never made a pie before, but i always wanted make a apple pie and today i did, i didn't have shortening so i had to use butter and it was good thank you again. could this recipe be good for other bake goods like tarts or what ever i may need a pastry crust for recipe or what can i make with this crust recipe?
