Avocados with Sweet and Sour Sauce

Okay, I'm overrun with avocados, but this recipe was given to me by a long time friend. It is amazing and it makes a great appetizer before a light entree. I would serve it before a fish entree and an orange/sliced red onion salad with a saffron couscous.
Ingredients
- 3 nice ripe avocados shopping list
- 6 tbsp of butter shopping list
- 6 tbsp of red wine vinegar shopping list
- 6 tbsp of brown sugar shopping list
- 6 tbsp of worchestershire sauce shopping list
- 6 slices of smokey bacon shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the butter and vinegar together over low heat, add sugar and wochestershire sauce.
- Reduce to nearly syrup consistency.
- Cook bacon until crispy.
- Cut the avocados in half, do not peel, but remove the pit.
- Drizzle the syrup over the avocados.
- Top with crumbled bacon.
- Serve, scoop and eat.
