These are wonderful. I have made them several times with a salad for a light dinner.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup finely chopped cooked chicken
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise( I use the lite brand)
  • 1/4 cup nuts
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 1 to 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Pastry for double crust
  • 1 egg beaten

Directions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the first eight ingredients; mix well and set aside
  2. Roll pastry to 1/8 in. thickness.
  3. Cut into 5 in circles.
  4. Spoon about 1/4 cup filling in the center of each circle
  5. Moisten edges of pastry with water
  6. Fold over and seal edges with a fork
  7. Place on a grease baking sheet.
  8. Cut 1/2 in vents in tops.
  9. Brush with egg.
  10. Bake at 425* for 15- 20 min or until golden brown.
