Blue Cheese Dressing

- 1/2 pound blue cheese - Danish preferable shopping list
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise shopping list
- 3/4 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 2 teaspoons water shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or minced garlic shopping list
How to make it
- Place blue cheese in a bowl.
- Mash with a fork until a smooth paste is formed.
- If you prefer a chunkier dressing leave a few chunks in.
- Blend in mayonnaise until cheese and mayonnaise are well mixed together.
- Stir in the buttermilk and water.
- Blend well.
- Add sugar, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste.
- For best results, serve immediately.
- If you refrigerate the dressing it will deepen the flavor but will also change this white dressing to a blue direction.
- This will then yield a thicker result.
- If the dressing becomes too thick, simply thin it out with a little water.
