Ingredients
  • 1 tsp.cold water
  • 4 egg yokes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour 1 tsp. anis seed

Directions
  1. add cold water to egg yokes and beat until just mixed
  2. add sugar. place over hot water(not boiling)and beat until mixture thickens,
  3. remove from fire and add flour and anis seed.
  4. drop by spoonful on a greased cookie sheet.
  5. let stand overnight in a cold oven to dry out.
  6. next day remove from oven and heat oven to 300F, then bake 15-20 minutes or till cookies start to brown around the edges.
