Carna Asada With Grilled Sweet Onions

- 4 beef rib eye steaks, cut 1-inch thick shopping list
- 2 large onions cut into 1/2" slices shopping list
- 2 tablespoons olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 lime quartered shopping list
- Seasoning: shopping list
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper shopping list
How to make it
- In small bowl combine seasoning ingredients.
- Divide mixture evenly and press into both sides of beef steaks.
- Brush onions with oil.
- Place onions and steaks on grid over medium ash-covered coals.
- Grill steaks and onions uncovered 14 minutes turning once.
- Season onions with salt and pepper then trim fat from steaks.
- Serve with grilled onions.
- Squeeze lime over steaks and onions.
