Delectabites Or Tea Cookies Recipe
These cookies have a zillion different names for them but are still good nonetheless. Great with tea or coffee!

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans
  • powdered sugar for dusting cookies

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Mix butter, sugar and vanilla until blended. Gradually stir in flour, then nuts. Shape into crescents or 1 inch balls.
  3. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in upper third of oven for 10 minutes or until firm but not brown.
  4. Gently roll in powdered sugar. Cool on wire racks then place on wax paper until firm. Store in airtight container.
  5. These go great with tea and coffee!
  6. Makes 2 dozen

Can these be cut out with a cookie cutter?


Not really. They would crumble. I guess if you really wanted to make cutouts chill it well then roll out and cut. I can't promise the outcome though!
