I made this to go with Shirleyoma's fried mozarella- easy, fast and tasty! Shirley's recipe= http://www.grouprecipes.com/11229/fried-mozarella.html I had few ingredients on hand; I bet diced tomatoes would be good too

Ingredients
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can chicken broth- I used the tomato paste can and filled with chicken stock
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • dash fresh ground pepper

Directions
  1. Combine ingredients and simmer on low heat for 2o minutes
  2. meanwhile, prepare and fry Shirleyoma's fried mozarella http://www.grouprecipes.com/11229/fried-mozarella.html
