Fried Mozzarella, a South Italian classic, is much lighter than one might expect, and can also be, well, the Italian word is sensual. In short, a perfect summer treat.

Wow that's so much easier and cheaper than going to a resturant and paying like $5 for 6 stix!!! And the frozen ones really aren't that great. This is gonna be so much better. THANKS

Thank you for this one. I love these, but have only had them at this one restaurant and they are rather expensive. It will be a great try to make this one. Hope it turns out as great as your picture.

I toasted some multi-grain bread for the breadcrumbs and I made my own marinara- it was good :)

Your using fresh mozarella.. right? Because the stuff we get here.. is dry! I so miss the fresh. Think I can do with sticks? Gotta have these!!!

This will be bliss - i get a very good 'real' buffalo mozzarella (the only one to buy, really, everything else are rubber balls :-) ) at the italian delicatessen in town. it will be of my list of things to do for the week after easter. thank you so much for sharing, Shirley - easy and delicious. why did i never think of doing this with mozzarella - have done it with other cheeses.
hugs to you, Shirley, and a lovely Easter week-end to you and your loved ones.
