Creamy Asparagus Tortellini

- 2 packages (9 oz) each cheese tortellini shopping list
- 2 cups spagetti sauce (whatever flavor you like) shopping list
- 1 cup heavy cream shopping list
- 2 tbsp flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup cold water shopping list
- 1/2 pound asparagus shopping list
- 2 tsp thyme shopping list
- 2 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (or use a shredded variety - cheddar) shopping list
- 1 tbsp parsley shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
How to make it
- Cook tortellini according to directions.
- While this is cooking break off ends of asparagus. Cut into bite sized pieces. In a small skillet, place 1 tbsp of oil and cook asparagus until tender crisp....2 minutes.
- In a large saucepan, combine sauce and cream, heat over medium heat.
- Combine flour and water in measuring cup. Gradually add flour mixture to saucepan.
- Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
- Add the asparagus, thyme and olive oil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 3-4 minutes or until heated through.
- Drain tortellini, toss with sauce.
- Sprinkle with cheese, pepper and parsley.
