Holiday Poppy Seed Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 tsp salt

2 egg yolks

1 t vanilla

2 cups sifted flour

3 T. poppy seeds

6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Directions

Cream together butter,sugar, and salt until well blended,light and fluffy.

Add vanilla and egg yolks, one at a time, beat thoroughly

Stir in flour and blend well.

Stirlin poppy seeds.

Shape dough into 1 inch balls.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet 1 inch apart.

Press center of each cookie using the handle end of a wooden spoon.

Bake at 375* for 10 to 12 minutes

Remove from cookie sheet.

Press center down again.

When cold, fill enters with melted chocolate(using a baby's feeding spoon works great)
