- 1-1/2 LBS. OF ground turkey OR chicken shopping list
- 1 TO 1 1/2 CUPS OF cheese crackers CRUSHED OR soda crackers.CAN USE CRUSHED herb CROUTONS. shopping list
- 1/4 TO 2/3 CUP OF spaghetti sauce. I US STORE BOUGHT, ITS QUICKER THAN MAKING MY OWN, shopping list
- 1-TSP. OF CHOPPED garlic, I USE THE CHOPPED IN oil.YOU CAN USE THE DRIED garlic flakes TO. shopping list
- 1- SM. onion CHOPPED. DONT HAVE TO USE IT ALL IF YOU DONT LIKE onion. YOU CAN USE THE dried onion flakes. shopping list
- 1-TSP OF italian seasoning. shopping list
- 1/4 OF A SM. RED OR green pepper CHOPPED FINE. shopping list
- 1/4 CUP cheese. GRATED OR CHOPPED FINE. shopping list
- 2-eggs CAN USE JUST (3) EGG WHITES- BEAT eggs AND SET ASIDE. shopping list
- AND ABOUT A CUP TO A CUP AND A HALF spaghetti sauce FOR THE TOP OF THE MEATLOAF. shopping list
- 1/4- CUP OF CHOPPED mushrooms OPTIONAL shopping list
- PAM TO SPRAY BAKING PAN BEFORE BAKING . shopping list
How to make it
- CHOP ALL INGREDIENTS THAT NEED CHOPPED UP. PLACE IN MIXING BOWL. ADD GROUND TURKEY OR CHICKEN MEAT.
- ADD CRUSHED CHEESE CRACKERS OR SODA CRACKERS , I HAVE USED CRUSHED HERB CROUTONS THIS WORKS OK TO. AND EGGS TO MIXTURE ALONG WITH THE SPAGHETTI SAUCE. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ABOUT A CUP TO A CUP AND A HALF OF SPAGHETTI SAUCE SET ASIDE FOR THE TOP. (I USE ABOUT 2/3 TO 3/4 OF A JAR OF SPAGHETTI SAUCE FOR THIS MEAT LOAF).
- MIX ALL INGREDIENTS WELL. PLACE IN A LARGE BAKING PAN AND POUR THE CUP OR CUP AND A HALF OF SPAGHETTI SAUCE. OVER THE TOP OF THE MEAT LOAF AND THEN SPRIKLE WITH CHEESE OF YOUR CHOICE.I USE THE LOW FAT CHEESE. PLACE IN THE OVEN THAT HAS BEEN HEATED TO 350 DEGESS FOR ABOUT AN HR. I HAVE ALSO USED MUSHROOMS IN THIS MEATLOAF.

This looks like a yummy meatloaf! I am excited to try it. Does it freeze well? I cook for two, so am always looking to be able to freeze about half of whatever I make. Thanks for sharing!!
