How to make it

  • Rolls:
  • Combine first 3 ingredients in a 1-cup glass measuring cup.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Beat butter at medium speed until creamy.
  • Gradually add 1/2 cup sugar and the salt.
  • Beat until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, milk and lemon juice.
  • Beat until blended.
  • Stir in the yeast mixture.
  • Combine 41/2 cups bread flour and nutmeg.
  • Gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speed till blended.
  • Turn dough out onto a floured surface with about 1/4 cup of bread flour.
  • Knead for 5 minutes, adding additional bread flour as needed.
  • Place dough in a lightly greased large bowl.
  • Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk (1 1/2 to 2 hours)
  • Punch dough down.
  • Turn out onto a lightly floured surface.
  • Divide dough in half.
  • Divide 1 dough half into 12 equal pieces.
  • Rolling between hands into a 7- to 8 inch long rope.
  • Wrap each rope into a coil, firmly pinching ind to seal.
  • Place rolls in a lightly greased 10-inch round cake pan.
  • Repeat procedure with other half of dough.
  • Drizzle half of honey topping evenly over each pan of rolls.
  • Let rise, uncovered in a warm place for 1 hour or double in bulk.
  • Top evenly with peacans if desired.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 22 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Cool rolls 2 mnutes in pans.
  • Spoon half of fresh orange glaze over each pan of warm rolls.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Honey Topping:
  • Stir everything together until smooth.
  • Fresh Orange glaze:
  • Beat powdered sugar and butter until blended.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Beat until smooth.

    Actually, it's not that hard work at all!! Definitely worth the effort. It's dough rolled up, baked in sauce with a glace over. That's all..
