Ingredients

How to make it

  • In bowl, mix sugar and cornstarch well
  • Add corn syrup or honey and water
  • Mix well, by whisking
  • Pour into saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is clear
  • Brush over cooked ham, just out of the oven
  • Let ham stand with brushed glaze at least 20 minutes before serving
  • Can be used on Canadian Bacon
  • NOTE: I usually score the ham, attach pineapple slices, and whole cloves decoratively throughout the scoring, then attach a red maraschino cherry with a toothpick within the center of the pineapple ring. Upon removing ham from the oven, I then brush the GLISTEN GLAZE on the entire ham. Makes a beautiful presentation!

I thought I'd cook a ham on Christmas Day and this sounds like a good glaze for it.
