Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup brown or white sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup or honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions
  1. In bowl, mix sugar and cornstarch well
  2. Add corn syrup or honey and water
  3. Mix well, by whisking
  4. Pour into saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is clear
  5. Brush over cooked ham, just out of the oven
  6. Let ham stand with brushed glaze at least 20 minutes before serving
  7. Can be used on Canadian Bacon
  8. NOTE: I usually score the ham, attach pineapple slices, and whole cloves decoratively throughout the scoring, then attach a red maraschino cherry with a toothpick within the center of the pineapple ring. Upon removing ham from the oven, I then brush the GLISTEN GLAZE on the entire ham. Makes a beautiful presentation!

I thought I'd cook a ham on Christmas Day and this sounds like a good glaze for it.
