Slightly crispy, deliciously caramel-flavoured and extraordinarily beautiful cut-out sugar cookies, made in a small batch for that special someone, are a hit in any goody basket! Frost with royal icing if you'd like, these are not too sweet alone.

Your cookies are adorable! And I just bought some spelt flour to play with instead of my stand-by King Arthur white whole wheat. I'll definately be making these soon. What margarine do you like to use? We are partial to Earth Balance buttery spread.

I basically use whatever we have in the fridge, which is usually whatever's cheapest haha. Earth Balance isn't available where I am in Ontario unfortunately!
