Creamed Tuna On Toast Recipe

Ingredients

1 can drained and flaked Albacore tuna

1/2 cup flour

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon coarse grind pepper

1 cup milk

1 cup water(more if needed)

Toast, white or wheat

Directions

Place a medium saucepan over medium heat and add the salt, pepper and flour and butter,stir (you are making a medium white sauce) do NOT let the flour start browning, you just want it to melt the butter and bubble a little to get rid of the floury taste, next add the milk while stirring then start slowly adding water until the medium consistency is reached. Turn the heat down to a low simmer and stir in the tuna. Now make some toast and serve it ladled over the toast.

Sorry eeks when you have been cooking as long as I have I guess you assume everyone knows how to make a white sauce,lol. Of course you add the butter to the pan first hun, hope this helps you out and you like the recipe. :-)
