How to make it

  • Saute the garlic, onion, and peppers in enough oil that covers the bottom of a large dutch oven pot.
  • Add the ground chuck and cook until no longer red.
  • Spoon out excess grease.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes to the pot, along with an equivalent amount of water measured from ONE empty tomatoe can.
  • Add the rest of your ingredients, bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer for 1 hour.
  • Adjust seasonings to your liking.
