How to make it

  • Cook ingredients in saucepan for three minutes
  • When cold, add 2 cups of flour into which1/2 tsp baking powder has been sifted.
  • 1 tsp soda dissolved in hot water
  • Bake 2 hours in a moderate oven.
  • One cup of nut meats is an improvement

    This sounds like a recipe I fixed years ago, in fact, one my mother made, it turned out good, not like a regular cake, more course, but good!
