How to make it

  • In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and shortening together with sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time,mixing after each addition.
  • Sift flour and baking powder together in separate bowl.
  • Add flour mixture to creamed butter alternately with milk. Mix well after each addition.
  • Stir in extracts
  • Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  • Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes then turn out onto wire rack.
