Strawberry Trifle
From cookinwithjen 16 years agoIngredients
- 1 box of Betty Crocker white cake mix shopping list
- 4 cups of frozen strawberries in juice (thawed) shopping list
- 1 pint of fresh strawberries (washed and halved, caps removed) shopping list
- 1 large box of Jello instant vanilla pudding shopping list
- 2 pints of heavy whipping cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup of sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions into 2 round layers.
- Once cooled slice these 2 round layers into 4 thin layers.
- Prepare the vanilla pudding according to its package directions. Allow to chill for about 20 minutes.
- Whip the heavy cream and slowly add in the sugar. Once you've reached the peak stage, the cream is whipped enough.
- In the bottom of the trifle dish add one thin layer of cake and spread on top of it around 4 to 5 tablespoons of the vanilla pudding.
- Add enough strawberries to completely cover the pudding (about a cup)
- Add about a half of a cup of the whipped cream on top of the berries.
- All you need to do is continue to layer this...cake, pudding, berries, and whipped cream until you've reached the top of the trifle dish.
- Add the fresh berries around the edge of the trifle.
- Refrigerate for half an hour.
