Smokeless Smoked Turkey

- 1 14lb turkey; cleaned shopping list
- 2 gallons water shopping list
- 1C salt shopping list
- 1/2C sugar shopping list
- 9T liquid smoke shopping list
How to make it
- After turkey is cleaned, place in a clean bucket or cooler lined with clean trash bag large enough to accomodate turkey and water.
- Disolve salt and sugar into 2 gal. cold water
- Mix in liquid smoke
- Pour soultion over turkey and seal bag.
- Add some ice on top and around bag.
- Place lid on bucket or cooler and keep in a cool place for 24hrs.
- After 24 hrs, remove turkey from solution and pat dry.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Place in roasting bag in roasting pan
- Bake @325 for 3 1/2 hours or until thermometer reads 160 degrees F when placed in thickest part.
- Allow turkey to rest at least 30 min before carving.
