CROCK POT LASAGNA This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Tinsley Estate in Venus, Texas in 1987.

Ingredients
  • 8 lasagna noodles cooked according to package directions
  • 8 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley leaves
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces Mozzarella cheese thickly sliced
  • Sauce:
  • 1/2 pound ground beef browned in a skillet
  • 6 ounce can tomato paste
  • 2 ounces pepperoni sliced
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried onions
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. To make sauce combine all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Place half of the noodles in the bottom of the crock pot.
  3. Mix ricotta cheese and parsley together.
  4. Spread half of ricotta cheese mixture on top of noodles.
  5. Sprinkle half of the parmesan cheese on top of ricotta cheese.
  6. Add a layer of half of the sauce.
  7. Place a layer comprised of half of the sliced mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat layer then cook on high for 2 hours.
  9. Serve hot.
