Baked Custard In The Crock Pot Recipe
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Burris Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1987.

Ingredients
  • 3 eggs lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl combine eggs, sugar, vanilla and milk then mix well.
  2. Pour into a lightly buttered baking dish that will fit in the crock pot.
  3. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  4. Place a rack or ring of aluminum foil in the crock pot then add 2 cups hot water.
  5. Cover the baking dish with foil and place on the rack in the crock pot.
  6. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours.
