Ingredients
  • 1 medium head cabbage coarsely shredded
  • 1 can cream of celery soup undiluted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded process American cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted

Directions
  1. Cook cabbage in boiling water 5 to 7 minutes and drain well then place in lightly greased baking dish.
  2. Combine soup, milk, cheese, salt and pepper and mix well then pour over cabbage.
  3. Combine bread crumbs and butter stirring well then sprinkle over cabbage.
  4. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Had a bunch of left over cabbage from fish tacos over the weekend - I'm going to give this a shot - thanks for the post, I'll get back to you on it.


Had it tonight. Didn't have any American cheese, so I substituted a combination of Mexican cheeses...(again, left over from fish tacos). This was so good, I ate THREE helpings!
