How to make it

  • Cook pasta according to package directions
  • Preheat oven to 350F
  • While pasta is cooking, brown meat in a large, deep skillet or saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Drain meat.
  • Stir tomatoes and tomato sauce into the meat.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 8 minutes
  • Drain pasta and return to same pot.
  • Add meat mixture to pasta and toss well
  • Add three cups of the cheese and toss (this is where I would put in the extra cheese)
  • Spray a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray
  • Pour pasta mixture into dish
  • Top with remaining cheese
  • Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted
