Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cup sifted all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • Green food coloring

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Cream butter and sugar well. Beat in egg and almond extract
  3. Gradually blend in dry ingredients and tint dough with a few drops of green food coloring.
  4. Fill cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheet using tree plate #21.
  5. Decorate with colored sugar, if desired.
  6. Bake 10 - 12 minutes.
  7. Cool on racks.
